Families that have a family member with a disability often hear about guardianship and alternatives to guardianship, but are uncertain what these terms mean and if they need to do something. The Arc of Fort Bend County's GAAP Program was established so families would have a place where they could learn about this confusing topic.
Information Sessions Brazos Bend Guardianship Services hosts bi-monthly Information Sessions where information on alternatives to guardianship, guardianship, the guardianship process and responsibilities of a guardian is presented. A guardianship attorney is present at the meeting to answer any legal questions that attendees might have. Please check the calendar for the time and location of the next GAAP Information Sessions or contact Kirk Monroe at 281-494-5928 or by e-mail at kmonroe@brazosbendguardianship.org
