The Heart and Soul of The Arc of Fort Bend County
Are you looking for a way to give back to the community you live in?
Would you like to make new friends?
Consider helping The Arc of Fort Bend County by becoming a volunteer where volunteers are always needed and
appreciated. Volunteers are needed to help in a variety of our programs, assist in our fundraising efforts
and help in the front office.
What kind of volunteer work can I do where I will interact with consumers?
- Help and encourage athletes participating in SPECIAL OLYMPICS
- Help adults BOWLING at the AMF Stafford Bowling Lanes on Saturdays between September - May.

Become a MONEY MANAGEMENT VOLUNTEER and help someone balance their checkbook and make sure their bills
are being paid.
What other kind of volunteer work can I do?

Serve on a COMMITTEE to prepare for our fundraising events . We have two major fundraising events a year:
The Arc Golf Classic in June and the Best in the West in November.
Committee members are often needed to assist some of the Board of Directors' Committees.

Help in our FRONT OFFICE by preparing flyers and newsletters for mail outs. Need to
contact our Administrative Assistant to see what projects are available.
What do I need to do to volunteer?
Complete and submit a volunteer application. The application you complete will depend on the program you would like to get involved with.
If you want to become a Special Olympics Volunteer, you will need to complete a
Special Olympics Volunteer Application.
If you want to become a Money Management Volunteer, you will complete a
Class A Volunteer Application and sign a consent to release form
All other volunteers need to complete a Class B Volunteer Application
